Well, I got a Lumia 620 about a month ago. Then it had a fight with a car door and lost, so I bought another . The original is being repaired, then I'll sell it to a friend, lol. Nifty thing about when I bought the new Lumia 620, is that all my contacts, settings, apps, photos, etc. got restored upon logging-in to my MS account used on the last one. Awesome sauce .

Saw some guy mod it into Mirror's Edge (that first-person free-running game). He wasn't exactly the best player, but it was trippy to watch. I'm not convinced that this'll work all that well, until there's a nifty way to have it so you can rotate a full 360, all using wireless for the headset and a game controller, then I reckon that would be progress. Stick some accelerometers and you could also have crouching as a feature .

Lol, I plan to power my acrylic uber guitar with a lithium polymer cell (or two) from an RC helicopter . Electronics isn't too hard to work-out in the end, just need to make sure the wireless system and pick-ups work on the same voltage, or modify the pick-ups to do so. That being said, I'll be eating my words if I fail to get my turbocharger oil pump hooked-up properly to my bike's electrical system, and that should be as straight-forward as connecting red to red, black to black with some half-decent waterproofing... On the subject of humming, I remember on my old PC, I used to get the slightest hiss off my speakers, but when I scrolled the mouse, the hiss stopped (then started again the moment the mouse stopped scrolling). Strangely-enough, yes it was on-board sound, but coming-off an add-in board which housed the jacks and also came with a shield to protect the cirtcuitry from noise. Noise will always be there, even if you enclose you and the guitar in a faraday cage...

I'm gonna' lunge head-first into an argument as polarizing as tube vs. digital: I reckon a decent amp can make-up for tone . Besides, I am talking about an acrylic guitar. If there's any guitar with a lack of tone, it would be the ones made mainly out of solid and 100% uniform acrylic plastic. So what's a shielded wireless transmitter inside an open cavity gonna' do ?

Lol, Givson. Despite imitations initially seeming dreadful, it's surprising to find that there are imitations that are potentially better than the original. I've read of stories where people buy genuine Gibsons and the quality of the work seems questionable, whilst others go off to custom shops to have replicas made which turn-out having far superior quality - plus, considering it's custom from the beginning, you can use whatever hardware you can dream-of as stock. I wanna' see if I can embed a wireless system within the guitar . That'd be kinda' cool. People wondering how the amp's getting the signal without a tiny box fixed onto the strap .

Who'd have thought it for a thread about the weather!!! Seems logical, in a way. It's the one subject that everyone can talk about since it effects everyone. The classic ice-breaker - of which we'll need less-of as the ice caps slowly melt...

Oh snap, FIFA or PES . Always preferred PES, myself. Especially the early days - I remember when FIFA was like "if you pass the ball to someone then try to pass it further forward, you gonna' pass it back like one-two, whether you like it or not." That annoyed me a lot. PES would let me pass anywhere, and that sealed the deal for me. Definitely closer to sim footy than FIFA, but then FIFA has always had real teams and stuff in it. But then that's EA for you: licensing, Licensing, LICENSING!

That RG170 looks tempting - I'd probably pick one of those up for the right price. Still, priority #1 is the Iceman . I might consider getting a custom Iceman done-up, 24-frets, custom inlays, fixed-bridge, active pickups and a kill-switch. Also, keeping true to the name, might do it in acrylic: http://www.acrylic-guitar.com/That site's Thai, which is kinda' awesome - saves on shipping if they can do it. Might even take my bike up for a roadtrip to their shop, if I can find out where it is . Only two downsides to acrylic guitars are that the sustain is apparently rubbish, and they weigh about a tonne .

Love Metro, actually - obvious considering the Omnia 7 I have.
A tablet friendly Windows I don't mind, either, but I think Microsoft have gone slightly off-track here.
Apple have iOS for phones and tablets, then the usual desktops.
Microsoft have Windows Phone for (duh) phones, but Windows 8 for tablets and desktops?
Kinda' strange, I think, and the whole switching between Metro and Desktop modes is goig to be quite strange, and silly.
Aside from that, not too much fuss.

I've got a Yamaha Legend "Premium Edition" whatever the premium bit means. Rubbish, but good enough.
It's the amp that carries it, though, a Line 6 Spider III 30.
Dream guitar used to be the Gibson Explorer, but now it's overshadowed by the Ibanez Iceman.
Friend of mine in Phuket owns a recording studio, and he's got an Iceman that his twelve year-old son gets to play. Lovely people, nice kid, awesome guitar, and I'm really jealous.
One day...
