Being a long term PES player, I've always thought PES was more of a simulation of football than Fifa. What does everyone else think?

Oh snap, FIFA or PES Stick Out Tongue.

Always preferred PES, myself.  Especially the early days - I remember when FIFA was like "if you pass the ball to someone then try to pass it further forward, you gonna' pass it back like one-two, whether you like it or not."

That annoyed me a lot.  PES would let me pass anywhere, and that sealed the deal for me.

Definitely closer to sim footy than FIFA, but then FIFA has always had real teams and stuff in it.

But then that's EA for you: licensing, Licensing, LICENSING!

Yeah - but who cares about correct names? All the classic footie games like Kick-Off or Sensible Soccer had made up names. Besides its relatively straight forward to download the correct names, teams and kits for PES (unless you're playing the Wii version).

FIFA now has some sort of hardcore mode which allows you to turn off that automatic passing.
